Susan Bijl created the first design and prototype in 2000 after studying at Willem De Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. Her mission was to replace the single-use plastic bag and reduce the waste involved with its use. Taking the classic shape of the plastic bag as a starting point, Susan made it even more functional by making the side creases deeper, therefore adding volume.
A simple yet iconic design with tremendous volume. It makes any plastic bag irrelevant and replaces all other bags. Created with your daily essentials in mind, anytime, any place. The bag effortlessly folds due to its lightweight and resilient material, therefore a perfect portable bag to take along with you.
Our 70D fabric is made from high-quality Bluesign® certified and 100% recycled ripstop nylon. We apply a water-resistant coating that is also Bluesign® certified.
